Loud sirens at Spring Street fire station ahead of opening

Humberside Fire and Rescue have confirmed they have been carrying out final safety checks at the station in Spring Street, which will become operational with crews and an engine next week.

Dave Carter, from G F Tomlinson, who is working on the new station site, said: “The building is done inside. It’s all sorted so now I think the fire service are here testing that things will be ready on Monday.
“A few have been in today putting the kit and others just testing the tech, which is why the alarms are going off.
“I’ve not heard any complaints about the work here or the noise. There will still be building work for the next couple of weeks to complete the road on this side, but most of it is finished now.”
