This project involved the demolition of an existing building and construction of a new single storey steel frame car auction facility.

This project was made more challenging due to an overhead electric cable running from pylons down the full length of the site.
Care needed to be taken when erecting the steel frame and cladding, with a safe system of work agreed with the electricity company plus safe access and egress routes were clearly defined.

Contract Period: 52 weeks

The project was delivered in phases as the site needed to remain open and fully operational to allow auctions to be held on three alternate weekdays during the construction works.
