Design & Build

This development includes an eight-screen cinema for ‘The Light’ project and houses four new restaurants including Chiquito, Pizza Express, Bella Italia, Hungry Horse and TGI Friday’s.

The construction of the cinema and restaurants complex were for ‘shell’ only. However, we needed to provide sectional completion for the restaurants, so that they could undertake fit-out and branding prior to operation. We also constructed a pedestrian footbridge over the canal adjacent to the site. This required an application and approval from the Canal and Rivers Trust before commencement of work.

Contract Period: 40 weeks

The project is built on a busy town centre brownfield site, which has regenerated more than 17 acres of Walsall, the cinema alone has created approximately 230 jobs, developing new employment opportunities within the local community.
